The Stamping Chef Recipes Challenge - Surf's Up!

There's a challenge running on The Stamping Chef Recipes Facebook page this week. The challenge starts on a Monday and you can get the image for free for 24 hours, after that, you can buy the image from the shop. You've got til Sunday night to enter the challenge so still plenty of time to go get Surf's Up!

Here is my Sous Chef card using this fab image!


I coloured her up using copics. E000, E00, E11, E13, E15, E18, B02, RV09, RV06, RV04, Y13, Y15, Y17, YR04, YR07, YR09, YG01, YG03, YG05.

The patterned paper is a mag freebie from yonks ago and as soon as I saw this digi I knew this was the paper for it! 

I've used ribbon over the corners and plain pink and orange cardstock for the layering. Added lots of summery paper blossoms and put sparkling rhinestones in the middle of them all. Also used a flip flop charm which is dangling from the 2 pink flowers. I used a clear stamp for the sentiment and a spellies lacy circle die. Added a bit of bling also!

The Stamping Chef - Life Is A Cabaret New Release

Well here is my first official post as a Sous Chef for The Stamping Chef! So excited! With a fab digi too! Life Is A Cabaret. You can get this fab new image with 20% off for this weekend only so hurry and grab her! 







I coloured the image using copics E000, E00, E11, B02, E13, E15, E18, R35, R59, R89, N3, N5, N7, N9.

I used plain black and red cardstock for the matting and the black and white patterned paper was from my stash. The large paper blooms are from Papermania. I added with and black polka dot ribbon along the bottom and down the right hand side and placed sparkling rhinestones and gems around the card. The long piece of red gemstone was cut from a border that came in a pack from Poundland. I printed the sentiment using word and the font Carnival.

SBS Facebook Fan Page Challenge - Good VS Evil!

The challenge this month over on the Simply Betty Stamps facebook fan page is good or evil and Betty kindly gave us a choice of 2 digis, a good mermaid, or an evil one! If we chose good the card had to be bright and colourful and if we went with the evil, she had be dark. 

Me being the angel that I am (what? what you laughin at?) went with the good Mermaid! I adore mermaids, have a bit of thing for them so was made up with this image!

Here is Roxie the good mermaid!



I coloured Roxie with copics BG05, BG07, BG09, BG18, B00, B02, B04E000, E00, E11, YR61, YR65, YR68, BG10, RV21, RV23, RV25.

I used some teal/turquoise grosgrain ribbon along the top and added a starfish charm dangling down, I have used glossy accents on the bubbles to give shiny dimension. The sentiment comes with the digi stamp. The waves at the bottom were made using the memory box Splash border die and I added some paper blossoms with dazzling rhinestones in the centre's. Also added some adhesive gemstones around too. The papers and bazzill cardstock are all from my stash.

Just Inspirational Challenges - Penny Blossom

Time for a new challenge at Just Inspirational Challenges blog and our lovely sponsor this time is Penny Blossom Stamps and they are offering a fabulous $15 voucher to their store! !

and last but not least here is my DT card using the lovely Flapper Girl digi stamp.






The image was coloured using copics, RV09, RV17, RV19, E000, E00, E11, Y13, Y15, Y17, BG02, BG05, BG07, BLACK.

The patterned paper is from Echo Park Summer Days 6x6 pad, and I have also used plain black cardstock and turquoise bazzill. The flowers were cut from felt using Joy Crafts flower dies and the leaves are from spellbinders cut from black card. I added sparkling rhinestones to the centres and placed them over the pink ribbon running down the card. I added black pearls and gems also.

I took inspiration from the photo by using all the bright colours and also the black.

Creative Creations Challenges # 14 - Anything Goes!

Time for a new challenge over at Creative Creations Challenges Blog and the theme this time is Anything Goes!! A nice easy one!

Here is my DT card




I used Lacy Sunshine Eleanor as a clown digi stamp and coloured her with copics. Was very naughty and didnt write the colours down. The patterned papers are from the papermania colossal paper stack that I've had for yonks! I used cheery lynn corners die, memory box precious stars die and spellies cirlce and scalloped circle to cut the digi sentiment. The ribbon and thread along the bottom are from my stash box and added to paper blossoms with sparkling rhinestones in the centres. Also added some gems to the flower centres in the corner die cuts and onto the bow centres that the stars are hanging from.

 Here is my DT card using the super cute Fred and Pel E Kan !! 




I coloured the image using copics E000, E00, E11, R24, R29, R59, YR04, YR07, YR09, E35, E37, E39, N1, N3, N5, N7.

The whale, octopus leg and wave edger dies were all from the xcut Ahoy There build a scene set. And I used the Cherry Lynn flourish die for the underwater plant! The sentiment was printed using word, one I typed myself and then die cut using xcut nesting oval and scalloped oval dies.

The Stamping Chef FB Challenge and a little bit of news!!

Have  joined in the challenge over on The Stamping Chef Recipes facebook page this week using the fab digital stamp The Raver.

Will show her to you in a minute but first for my exciting news (well, it is for me!). I applied to be on TSC DT and am over the moon to say I was offered a place on the New Releases Design Team! Soooo excited so here is my first creation as a The Stamping Chef Sous Chef!!! 




I coloured the digi using copics, E000, E00, E11, E13, E15, E18, BG02, BG05, BG07, RV04, RV06, RV09. The papers and bazzill card are all from my stash and I used the memory box cosmic border die which I love! I put a piece of scalloped ribbon down the centre of the paper at the side and placed bright paper blossoms down with gemstones and sparkling rhinestones for the centres. I added some other small paper blossoms around and hand stamped the sentiment.

Lacy Sunshine challenge #12 Midway Reminder x

I'm here with a midway reminder for the latest challenge over at Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog where we're having a Christmas in July! 

Here is my DT card using Winnie - Santas official Light Tester!


I coloured Winnie with copics and added gemstones to her holly berries on her hat and used sakura gelly roll clear glitter pen on her fur to give it a bit of sparkle. I used traditional Christmas colours for the card and added a Christmas tree onto a ribbon bow, some buttons with thread through them, and some chiffon flowers with pearl centres. I stamped the sentiment and matted it using spellies lacy circles die, also used memory box corner die, savvy dies 'Happy Holidays' and a dovecraft holly punch, to which I added red gemstones as the berries.

I coloured the image in with copics and kept the card quite clean and simple. I added some flowers with sparkling rhinestones and used a cheery lynn corner die in 3 of the corners. I used spellbinders lacy circles and large standard circles dies to cut the sentiment which was printed off the pooter using word. 

I took inspiration from the photo by using the colours of the balls and also the spotted patterning.

So, here is my DT card


I coloured the young lady with copics and paper pieced her dress and the label down her bag. The papers are from Grace Taylor Playtime paper pad and I added some roses. I snipped the shank of 2 apple buttons and added one to her hand to make it look like shes carrying it. Also added to rhinstone bows to her pigtails for added bling. The leaves under the roses were made with the Martha Stewart branch punch.

Simply Betty Facebook Fan Page Challenge - Summer Fairy

Here is my entry for the current challenge over on the Simply Betty Stamps facebook fan page. The challenge was to use Summer Fairy with a background, not patterned paper, stamped or digi merged etc.

Here is my card.



For my background I used Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar distress inks with the distress tool and then sprayed over the whole piece with Crafters Companion Iridescent Glitter Lacquer. I matted the background onto plain pink and blue card to match the copics used to colour her in. Added a pink chiffon ribbon to the spine of the card with a butterfly charm tied into it (not easy to see in the piccy sorry ) and added a couple of roses. Also used Martha Stewart branch punch for the rose leaves and dotted some pearls around the corners.
